Alvin He

Chair

Grade 11 — Heritage Woods Secondary School

Alvin He serves as Chair of the Quantara Financial Modeling Challenge, leading long-term strategic development and institutional outreach. He has competed in multiple regional and international business competitions, including recognition among the Top 10 teams in North America at the Harvard Crimson Case Competition. At Heritage Woods Secondary School, Alvin leads the Economics Club, encouraging analytical thinking and quantitative exploration. His academic interests center on financial modeling, data-driven decision making, and structured research methodology. He founded Quantara with the vision of building a meritocratic platform that rewards independent intellectual rigor.

Sissi Fan

Executive Director

Sissi Fan serves as Executive Director of Quantara Financial Modeling Challenge, overseeing internal coordination and strategic execution. A dedicated mathematics enthusiast, she has a strong interest in statistics, probability theory, and advanced problem solving. Sissi actively pursues quantitative exploration beyond the classroom and brings analytical precision to organizational planning. Kamran Agahajari

Director of Systems Development

Kamran Agahajari leads engineering systems and technical workflow design for Quantara Financial Modeling Challenge. With strong interests in applied physics, computational modeling, and engineering optimization, he focuses on developing scalable and analytically sound frameworks. Director of Technology

Johan Cao

Ambassador

Financial Analysis and Risk Management (FARM) — University of Waterloo

Johan Cao serves as an Ambassador for the Quantara Financial Modeling Challenge, supporting outreach and engagement within the quantitative finance community. As a student in the Financial Analysis and Risk Management (FARM) program at the University of Waterloo, he brings strong interest in financial modeling, risk analysis, and data-driven decision making. His academic background and enthusiasm for quantitative finance help connect university-level insight with the competition’s mission of introducing high school students to quantitative thinking.
